Tanah airku tidak kulupakan
Kan terkenang selama hidupku
Biarpun saya pergi jauh
Tidak kan hilang dari kalbu
Tanahku yang kucintai
Walaupun banyak negri kujalani
Yang masyur permai dikata orang
Tetapi kampung dan rumahku
Di sanalah kurasa senang
Tanahku tak kulupakan
Today is august 18, a day after Indonesia independence day, actually im planning to post it at August 17 but because of work, I couldn’t hehe 😀 .
Yesterday -August 17- we celebrate our independence day, it’s already 62 year since we declare it. Thanks to America who bomb Japan, and our leaders who see an opportunity and act in the very rare situation like that.
Overall, there’s no significant change in Indonesia, The Government’s elite still have poor progress to make this nation become stronger, they’re keeping themselves busy to ‘save’ this country by selling the asset to survive, legalize it. Education, we still arguing about the National Test standarization -we call it Ujian Nasional– the idea may good but it definetely wrong when we implement it and we dont have strong fundamental in our education system. The People, we successfully produce a lot more of selfish, capital minded, and consumtive people. The entertainment, industry, global information make ourselfes ruin the smile, thankful, helping other people, etc in our daily life, we just realize for a second after we get disaster in our country, helping our brothers out there, eventhough -still- some people take a nasty advantage from it!
But, the last football competition, Asian Football Championship which is held in 4 country in south-east asia, Indonesia is one of the host :D, we -finally- come out with one sound, Indonesia Raya by the supporters in Gelora Bung Karno can make ghostbumps. We lost in this competition but we have good appreciation to the players, to the managers, to the supporters, it is paid, international community also appreciate us as a team, nation, and host. Iraq football team come out as the champion, we should learn from them, they came from a lot of disadvantage, anyway they did it for their country and people.
I’m living outside the Indonesian territory, so when listen and look again to the lyrics of that song, it speak for me :P, I hope we still have the spirit 🙂 .
